As the Catholic Chaplain at Wilfrid Laurier University I welcome you to a time in your life that you will never forget.
The years you spend at Laurier will be exciting and busy. You will face pressures and trials, but you will grow and you will triumph.
Before you leave, you will be transformed. My hope for each of you is that love will be the most significant factor in your transformation: that in addition to learning more and more facts, you will become a kinder more loving person, and that besides building up your resumes you will build meaningful relationships with others and grow closer to God. These are the things that will make everything else worthwhile.
I pray for your happiness and success now and in the years ahead. I am available if you need a confidential friend to talk to. I will encourage you if you feel uncertain. I will introduce you to wonderful people who are also seeking to make a difference with their lives.
