Revelation Yesterday and Today - Study Session

Preparation: read
- Vatican II Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation (Dei verbum) If you are working from a published version of the Vatican II documents, we recommend the translation included in the edition by Austin Flannery (Walsh and Harrington translation)
- The Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraphs 26-165. We recommend that all persons attending the session bring a complete copy of the Catechism.
Please bring a copy of Dei Verbum and a Bible - any translation although one including the deutero-canonical writings is preferred.

Learn about the Eastern Catholic tradition

Please join us for a day of prayer and learning about the Eastern Catholic tradition of Icons, theology in colour. We will reflect on the call to "divinization" by studying and praying with Icons, an ancient tradition of prayerfully produced holy pictures.

Fr. Myroslaw Tataryn is a Ukranian Catholic Priest and specialist in Eastern Christianity, serving as Academic Dean and Acting President of St. Jerome.s University.
This event is presented by the Wilfrid Laurier University Catholic Chaplaincy.
All members of local parishes are welcome to come and learn. In recent years, both Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI have drawn our attention to the Eastern Catholic tradition.

The KW Communio Group and the WLU Catholic Chaplaincy are presenting a special daylong seminar "Learning from the Mass," on Saturday, May 27th, 10am-5pm, Senate Board Chambers, Wilfrid Laurier University This event will feature a paper from Dr Vivian Ligo of St.Augustine's Seminary, Toronto,
